In April 2009, Same Old Story played our last show at Easterfest QLD, and I was looking to do more music.

Hence, I recorded this in about August 2009 and released in September the next month. It was in response to an ad in the music magazine 'The Drum' (I don't know if that still exists?) in Sydney for someone looking to record some tracks for free at JMC studios. It was fate that Xenios and I would meet. He was a a brilliant engineer and amazing guy.

I swear I must have given away over 1000 copies of this EP on burnt CDs touring around schools and youth groups in late 2009-10. It was this year I was tossing up between whether to continue doing acoustic music or keep pushing the Hip Hop project Dying to Be Alive. I did both for a little while.

A crazy story is, I remember bumping into a girl at a Church I attended from 2008-2013 and around the time we were leaving to move to Melbourne I was singing "Figure it out" at one of our church camps and she was like "Hey, I know this song, this is by an independent artist who came to my school years ago, I did my whole year 12 art project based on this song".

I replied "ya know I wrote this song". She fell off her chair!

Who can fathom the lives we touch with music and the Gospel!?
